Fanny: The Other Mendelssohn

This documentary reveals the remarkable life story of the classical composer, Fanny Mendelssohn. Born in 1800’s Berlin, restricted by societal constraints on women, Fanny’s talents were buried until several feminist scholars uncovered her impressive body of work. This film features beautiful live performances of her music and engaging interviews. I was the editor of this documentary film. The film had its North American premiere at DOC NYC 2023 and currently screening at select UK cinemas and is available to stream via Curzon Home Cinema.
