JAMIE’S DYSLEXIA REVOLUTION

Jamie Oliver is one of the UK’s best-known chefs and campaigners and he’s also dyslexic; like around three children in every classroom. Undiagnosed at school, he struggled academically and left feeling like a failure, only reading his first book at the age of 33.

In this special one-off documentary, Jamie returns to the classroom to discover what has and hasn’t changed for children with dyslexia today.

What he finds is sobering; students with dyslexia are now 3.5 times more likely to be expelled than those without and expelled students are 200% more likely to be drawn into violent crime.

Determined to inspire change, he speaks to teachers, parents, students and scientists and finds two powerful ideas that could help transform the education system,  taking them straight to the door of the Secretary of State for Education.
