Hello there, I’m Evelyn and I’m known to spend prolonged periods of time staring at screens. I love archive, I love the moving image, I love storytelling.
After studying cinema and post production in the UK & USA, I combined my passion for imagery and sound coupled with my ear for music to become a Film and TV Editor.
Progressing from splicing on a 16mm flatbed to editing with Premiere Pro and AVID, I’ve worked on productions across the globe, some of which have screened at international film festivals (Telluride, Tribeca, DOC NYC, BFI London Film Festival, CPH:DOX) and other films that have streamed across millions of screens worldwide.
My subject specialties include social justice, the environment, current affairs, arts, culture and history.
I enjoy the challenge and the creativity involved in editing complex narratives while ensuring the films and programmes are engaging, compelling and accessible.
Career highlights to date include my role as an Associate Editor to legendary Film Editor and Sound Designer Walter Murch on the theatrical feature documentary COUP 53 and as a documentary editor on films that have garnered international recognition through Peabody, Lovie, Webby and Broadcast Digital awards, BIFA and Grierson nominations, with the good fortune to merge my love of travel and language with this creative work.
Currently based in London and also keen to travel with work, I am experienced at editing documentary films and tv programmes remotely and working collaboratively on international productions. BFE, RSA Fellow and BAFTA Connect member.
Thank you for stopping by!
